SISTER Wives fans slammed Kody Brown’s “loser” reaction to his mother’s demand to “treat his wives equally.”
Kody, 53, was called out by his own mother in a resurfaced clip from the TLC show.
Sister Wives fans recently took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the old clip, which showed Brown patriarch Kody talking to his mother and four mother-in-laws.
Kody found himself in trouble after admitting he bought his wife Robyn, 43, a gift, though he didn’t get anything for his wives Meri, 51, Janelle, 52, and Christine, 49.
Kody’s mom- Genielle- said in a voiceover: “As a child, Kody was a handful. One time he was being disobedient when the furnace was on and he was standing right on top of the furnace and he ended up with his hands on the furnace.
“Kody has not changed a whole lot since then.”
While talking to her son, Genielle insisted Kody needed “to be fair” by buying all of his wives gifts.
Kody continued to express his thoughts on the matter in a voiceover, saying: “I can’t buy something for my wife if in my head I’m worried about what another wife will think.
“That’s very unfair to the wife I’m buying something for.”
‘LOSER!’
Many Sister Wives fans agreed that Kody was handling the situation unfairly, as one Reddit user called the TV personality a “loser.”
Another added: “He never considers their emotions, and when he’s challenged on it he uses plural marriage as an excuse, when in reality it’s the reason he should be more considerate.”
A third chimed in: “He knew it was favoritism and he defended it by saying it wasn’t fair to the wife who he wanted to favor with a better gift. He is a d**k.”

The backlash continued as an additional person wrote: “Once a jacka**, ALWAYS A JACKA**!!!”
Numerous fans praised Kody’s mom for telling off her son, with one person writing: “So his own mom is calling him a man child. Epic burn! Kody’s mom for the win!!”

Sister Wives fans likely weren’t shocked that Kody chose to buy his “favorite” Robyn a gift and not his other wives.
As Kody continued to pick favorites, his wife Christine had enough and left the reality star.
Following months of split rumors, Kody and Christine ended their marriage back in November 2021.
Christine released a statement on social media and said: “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave.”
