American Pickers star Mike Wolfe suffered a devastating loss, the death of his mother, Rita Wolfe, as History Channel fans showered him with prayers.
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, Wolfe, 61, took to Instagram to announce the sad news alongside a photo of Rita.

“Last night, we lost the strongest most beautiful woman I will ever know,” the bereaved son began his update. “My mom had been fighting cancer the past four months. My brother and sister and I were by her side when she took her last breath.”
Wolfe continued, “The pain and sorrow comes in waves and sometimes it all still doesn’t feel real. Everything I have become in my life I owe to her. God, I will miss her but I know she’s in a better place. I love you to the moon and back, Mama. I will look for those little moments when you still find ways guide us. 🙏.”

In the comments, Wolfe’s followers flooded the American Pickers star with prayers and words of condolence. His History Channel co-star, Danielle Colby, declared, “She was one in a million💔.”

The past year has been a tough one for Wolfe. Less than a year ago, he suffered another family loss with the death of his grandfather in May 2025. Then, in September, Wolfe and his girlfriend, Leticia Cline, were involved in a serious car accident that landed them both in the hospital with injuries.
