who was voted off Survivor 50? Live updates on Survivor 50 episode 9
Survivor 50 episode 9 is titled “I Deserve All of This” will see the castaways spend the next day picking up the pieces of their alliance after two were voted off last week as they face off against a surprise challenger during this week’s individual immunity competition, according to Rotten Tomatoes.
The “Survivor 50” cast features returning players from the show’s first 49 seasons and celebrities will be making appearances “in unique ways” throughout the season, according to CBS.
Devens loves Chaos
Jonathan Young from Season 42 told Rick Devens from Season 38 (Edge of Extinction) he is a target after that stunt at tribal. But Devens loves the chaos and tells Emily Flippen from Season 45 its total BS and that it was planted. She is happy but she is also upset because now their entire alliance is at risk.
Jersey Girl plots heel turn
Stephenie Lagrossa Kendrick: Seasons 10 (Palau), 11 (Guatemala), 20 (Heroes vs. Villains) is “so mad right now” over losing two members of her alliance, Benjamin “Coach” Wade from Seasons 18 (Tocantins – The Brazilian Highlands), 20 (Heroes vs. Villains), 23 (South Pacific), and Chrissy Hofbeck from Season 35 (Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers).
“I am going to play Ms Nicegirl and I am going to babyface them to death and then I am going to slit all their throats,” Steph said.
Ozzy Lusth Seasons 13 (Cook Islands), 16 (Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites), 23 (South Pacific), 34 (Game Changers) said Devens stunt took off the heat of him and Rizo Velovic from Season 49. Ozzy said the “old school” alliances are done now.
“Anybody that has a bigger target than me is beneficial”
Cirie Fields from Seasons 12 (Panama – Exile Island), 16 (Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites), 20 (Heroes vs. Villains), 34 (Game Changers) feel like she is in a good spot, pretty much working with everyone.
Jonathan tells Joseph Hunter from Season 48 that their alliance is looking for a lifeline after tribal.
“I see opportunities after last night,” Aubry said.
Aubry Bracco from Seasons 32 (Kaôh Rōng – Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty), 34 (Game Changers), 38 (Edge of Extinction) wis trying to distance herself from Devens.
Aubry said she is not afraid to jump ship if people aren’t working for her and she knows Jonathan is vulnerable and needs allies.
Day 17
Joe lets Devens know he never planned to vote for him but he doesn’t believe joe.
“You guys got your hand caught in the cookie jar,” Devens said.
Christian does damage control
Christian Hubicki from Season 37 (David vs. Goliath) tells Emily the target needs to migrate the right way.
Jonathan knows Christian is “so untrustworthy.”
Steph certainly doesn’t look like she trusts Christian. She is poker-facing it but staring daggers at Christian.
“How far do you want somebody like Christian to get in the game? He is always stabbing people in the back or acting fishy,” Jonathan said.
Joe, Jonathan and Steph don’t seem to be buying what Christian is selling.
“That was an awkward situation. Trouble is what I see,” Christian said.
Christian might have migrated the target from Devens to himself
Man in the moon or the rabbit flipping pancakes?
It is Day 18 and the Joe-Jonathan-Steph alliance thinks Christian. Christian thinks Ozzy is in the middle.
Cirie can’t let Christian take a shot at Ozzy.
“Christian would have to go before my number one,” Cirie said.
Ozzy said “I knew this day would come.”
Ozzy calls Christian a cold-blood killer and likens him to a robot with human skin.
Jonathan is all about getting Christian out.
Day 18 – once again individual immunity is back up for grabs
Everyone has to hold onto their PRE-GAME body weight, last one standing gets immunity.
Five players have to give up their chance at immunity for enough rice for the rest of the season with a side bet- they have to outlast Jeff Probst.
Jeff Probst historic side bet
If the host outlasts one person, he keeps the rice.
Jonathan, Joe, Ozzy and Tiff volunteer, Probst wants to play so he accepts four.
Probst said the side bet is not a setup.
Probst said this was Jimmy Fallon’s idea. 90% of Jimmy’s audience wanted the host to participate as a player.
“Devens you’re not going to win this why don’t you just drop it,” Probst said.
Rizo was the first one out, then Emily, then Devens.
“You can see the look in Jeff’s eyes, even with all that food in his belly,” Devens said.
That’s the name of the episode
“I deserve all of this” trash talking Probst said.
The contestants are enjoying talking trash to the host for once.
Cirie is out.
“Who made this challenge. This is barbaric,” Probst said.
Steph tells Christian to keep talking (hahahhaha).
“I will never talk the same kind of trash again… until next season.”
Jeff said he would make fun of people for only lasting 7.5 minutes.
Seven players outlasted the host.
Ozzy, Joe and Jonathan are the final three.
12 minutes into it- Ozzy and Joe are the final two.
Side note- how the hell did Joe do this for an hour. He is beasting it with one hand looking at Ozzy.
Joe wins immunity
Joe wins immunity for the second time this season. He lets the group rock-paper-scissor for an individual journey.
14th person will be voted off and be the 4th juror.
Christian has a shot at an advantage.
Rice is tribal vibe
Cirie wants to tell Emily “have several seats” about cooking the rice.
Tiff lets Devens know his name is getting thrown around.
“I’m Devens, I don’t go home with idols,” Rick said.
Tiff said “if you don’t (play the idol) you will go home.”
The whole tribe vibes with the rice.
Jonathan has Rizo and Aubry on his side against Christian.
“The only thing I am worried about is this journey,” Jonathan said.
Christian arrives on a barge
“Oh great I like puzzles,” Christian said.
It is Jimmy Fallon again and Christian doing an impression while reading the note is just as entertaining as the Jimmy Fallon Show.
Christian could lose his vote or already have a vote in the urn.
Christian returns to camp with a letter
He lets his son (watching at home) that you are not defined by the moments you fall short, you are defined by what you do after.
Christian makes history by voting for himself
Other journeys you can lie about an advantage, but Christian gets to read a note of shame.
The letter says Christian will make history at tribal….by writing his own name.
Christian can’t play his shot in the dark … so he gives it to Jonathan.
Jonathan can’t wait to get Christian out with his own shot in the dark.
“My belt is looking pretty good, I got a couple notches on it,” Jonathan said.
Emily got to go
Emily wants to vote Ozzy. Cirie and Tiff looks open to it.
“They’re the same, they think they’re tight and she (Emily) is over here trying to take him out,” Tiff said.
Tiff wants Emily gone.
Rizo thinks it is time to strike Christian.
Devens, Christian, or Emily?
Christian is venting his rage and explaining his situation has the three jurors in shock.
Jeff is confused because Christian is genuinely funny in his delivery despite his rage at the seriousness of the situation.
Emily said she purposely sat out of volunteering from the journey because of Survivor 50.
Ozzy said sometimes the low-hanging fruit is always what you go for when you’re playing Survivor.
Devens said as the group gets smaller there is less easy votes. He said he is playing his idol …. which of course is a bluff.
“You can’t worry about tomorrow til you get there,” Tiff said.
Christian said he looks forward to Jimmy Fallon’s apology.
Rick doesn’t play the idol he doesn’t have.
Christian is the 14th person voted off the island
Jonathan hands him back his shot in the dark.

Recap the of previous episode
Last week was Double the Fun, Double the Demise as Benjamin “Coach” Wade from Seasons 18 (Tocantins – The Brazilian Highlands), 20 (Heroes vs. Villains), 23 (South Pacific), and Chrissy Hofbeck from Season 35 (Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers) were the 12th and 13th people voted off of Survivor 50.
The tribe divided into pairs. The twist was that even though the remaining players would vote individually, each single person would be voting for one of the duos that teamed up.
The pairs were Coach and Chrissy, Ozzy and Stephenie, Christian and Jonathna, Joe and Tiff, Rizo and Emily, and Devens and Aubry.
Joe and Tiff won and bonded over spaghetti, wine and immunity.
Day 16 and the Jersey Girl is the (secret) boss.
Stephenie Lagrossa Kendrick from Seasons 10 (Palau), 11 (Guatemala), 20 (Heroes vs. Villains) views her alliance as;
- Jonathan Young from Season 42
- Joe Hunter from Season 48
- Cirie Fields from Seasons 12 (Panama – Exile Island), 16 (Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites), 20 (Heroes vs. Villains), 34 (Game Changers)
- Ozzy Lusth from Seasons 13 (Cook Islands), 16 (Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites), 23 (South Pacific), 34 (Game Changers)
- And then Coach and Chrissy.
“Those are the main seven in my alliance, we are rock solid and pretty much running the show,” Stephenie said.
Rick plays his false idol
In the second episode of Survivor 50, Christian told Rick Devens from Season 38 (Edge of Extinction) about his boomerang. Rick conspired to plant a false idol during the next tribal council and was legitimately giddy over the idea of blowing up the game with this idea.
Last week Rick got his wish -he played nervous during tribal, though he was legit nervous as his partner and himself were obviously on the hot seat. Then he said he didn’t have an idol to play just a clue to an idol then pulled out his plant.
Dee was smiling on the sideline “oh my god this is amazing” as the cliques scrambled.
Coach quoted Magellan for this iconic tribal council.
“It’s not real but it was real enough to cause a ruckus,” Rick said.
