Emmerdale is set to send shockwaves through the TV world after axing one of their biggest stars – who will die amid plans for an explosive stunt later this year.

22 years after a debut with his fellow brothers and father, Jimmy King will meet his maker in a devastating end that will rock the village.

Jimmy arrived as a ruthless businessman but later on became more of a loveable oaf, winning popularity with his comedy partnership with Nicola (Nicola Wheeler).

The exit will coincide with the explosive return of Sadie King (Patsy Kensit).

The scenes are yet to be filmed but will air across the autumn. Metro had been aware of the major twist but had chosen to withhold the spoiler.

However, with it now in the public domain, we can confirm the shock storyline, though will retain information on the circumstances – and potential other victims.

But it promises to be a huge time for the soap, with various storylines exploding as we move from summer to spring.

A source told Metro recently: ‘The scenes promise to be spectacular but the outcome will leave many fans shocked.

‘It may prove controversial but the jaw-dropping storyline will set in motion some massive consequences for many months to follow.’

Patsy’s comeback was recently confirmed by the show.

She said: ‘I am really excited to return to Emmerdale. I treasure the years I was here before.

‘Sadie King is a character that I really loved playing. The cast and crew are absolutely brilliant and I am so grateful for the chance to return to the show, it’s absolutely amazing.’

Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw added: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patsy Kensit back to the cast, and crucially to see the iconic Sadie King storm back into the village.

‘Her return will be explosive and guaranteed to shock. Sadie’s seductive demeanour, combined with her utterly ruthless nature, are set to deliver a spectacular and highly dramatic touch of class to the Yorkshire Dales.’
