What My Big Fat Fabulous Life Fans Think Really Happened With Ryan

Ryan Andreas’ short stint on My Big Fat Fabulous Life has led to questions about why he really departed the show. Ryan has had a successful career after leaving the series. Since MBFFL season 9, he has continued to build his fitness company. The dancer and Whitney Thore were previously in business together working on expanding and improving Whitney’s company No BS Active.

Due to their strained parting, the two have not continued their project together. Instead, Ryan has focused on his own work and family, as he welcomed a son in 2021 with his now-wife, Sydney. The trainer has not mentioned his role on My Big Fat Fabulous Life in some time, nor mentioned Whitney since he left. This may be because of an NDA for the show, but it certainly raises some questions.

Why MBFFL Viewers Think Ryan’s Departure Is Weird

Reddit user Sensitive_Target6602 started a conversation asking about what had happened to Ryan and why he left so suddenly, noticing that all Whitney said was that they were “not associated anymore.” There have been other times the show has been suspected of being fake, like with Whitney’s French man storyline, but this development is particularly odd. Whitney is an open person in general, so her strange response to Ryan’s exit from the series and her life is out of character. There are theories his part in the show was set up by producers to bolster the success of Whitney’s company.

It is also suspected that Ryan played a key role in introducing Whitney to Chase Severino. Whitney and Chase dated for a brief period but soon called it quits when Chase was accused of cheating with his former girlfriend Sara Jackson. However, it’s possible the relationship was fabricated, as there’s evidence Sara and Chase lived together while he was supposedly dating Whitney. The reality star was heartbroken to find her “boyfriend” was expecting a baby, which earned Chase the villain label. But given how Chase and Whitney may have pretended to date the entire time, it doesn’t seem like a warranted label for him.

Why MBFFL Fans Are Talking About Non-Disclosure Agreements

Seeing how Ryan introduced Chase to Whitney, there’s speculation the entire storyline was concocted between the group. There is no proof to show it, but that could be because all cast members sign a non-disclosure agreement to prevent anyone from discussing show secrets. One commenter on the Reddit post expressed their hope that when his NDA is up, Ryan will “[sing] like a bird” about everything that happened behind the scenes. However, others who read through some TLC NDAs don’t think it will ever expire. Ryan’s “toxic” post on Instagram back in 2021, which doesn’t reference Whitney by name, may be the closest viewers come to answers.

Ryan’s sudden exit and Whitney’s reluctance to speak on it have increased suspicion that both Ryan and Chase were introduced to the show to dramatize plots, giving Whitney’s personal and professional lives a boost. Considering how helpful Chase was in suggesting changes to Whitney’s No BS Active, it is possible the two were genuine business partners at one point and worked together for a common goal. With how Ryan left, though, it is also possible everything was scripted for My Big Fat Fabulous Life.
