1000-Lb Sisters Bombshell: Amy Slaton’s Health Struggle Brings Her to Tears
‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Amy Slaton Breaks Down in Tears Over Major Weight-Loss Mileston
In an exclusive sneak peek of this week’s episode, set to air on Tuesday, Oct. 29, published by E! News, the younger Slaton goes shoe shopping, explaining that she never knows her shoe size when she goes into the store because, “When you lose weight, you’re not only losing it in your belly, your legs, your boobs, your a–, you’re losing it everywhere, your fingers and feet included.”

After a sales associate measures her at a 7.5, she starts browsing, admitting, “I always wanted a pair of heels, but I was never skinny enough. When you’re fat and blind, your balance is kind of off, so on the ground is more sturdy.”
She tries on a pair of nude pumps, nearly losing her balance within just a few steps, later comparing the “awkward” feeling to that of a “baby cow trying to walk for the first time.” But in a pair of boots with a chunkier heel, she sails down the store aisle, later telling the camera outside, “It’s registering that I have lost weight, and I’m not going to break the d–n heel. It’s a good moment.”
Slaton has lost nearly 200 pounds since undergoing bariatric surgery in 2019.
As the reality that she had just rocked a pair of heels for the first time sinks in, she tears up. She waves her hands at her face and apologizes before wiping the tears away and blowing out a steadying breath, continuing in a shaky voice, “The fact that I’ve lost so much weight now that I could wear heels and…actually want to wear heels to go on a date with is scary in itself.”
