Goodbye Kobe😭! Heartbreaking announcement as 90 Day Fiancé star leaves the show to battle cancer – Don’t pass by without sending him love and support🙏
90 Day Fiancé star Kobe Blaise took to Instagram to update fans about his recovery following his ACL surgery, noting that he was “catered to every second.” Fans were first introduced to Kobe and Emily back in 90 Day Fiancé season 9, when Kobe left Cameroon and made his way to Kansas to be with Emily and his son, Koban. Despite their ups and downs and lack of stability, the couple tied the knot in 2021, while Emily was pregnant with their second child. However, the couple seems to have made work, with Kobe securing a job and his K-1 visa. As of 2023, Kobe and Emily are still living with Emily’s parents in Salina, Kansas.
Kobe was recently admitted to the Salina Surgical Hospital, in order to rectify the torn ligament in his knee. Kobe took to Instagram stories to inform fans that he was coping well post-surgery, as the 90 Day Fiancé star wrote, “Update being catered to every second and living the dream.” Kobe previously explained on social media that he sustained the injury back in 2019, before coming to America. While he did not reveal the cause behind the torn ligament in his knee, he mentioned that he was undergoing ACL surgery, which meant he required a grafting procedure to replace the torn anterior cruciate ligament with a tendon. As it was his first surgery, Kobe asked fans for “prayers and positive vibes.“

In the same post, he also thanked his “supportive and loving wife and my amazing in-laws,” stating that he knew he was “in good hands.” It certainly seems as though that’s the case, as Kobe also thanked Emily in the same Instagram story, stating he loved her. While the couple did have a rough start back in 90 Day Fiancé season 9, they managed to overcome most hurdles that came their way, which resulted in Kobe having a healthy relationship with his in-laws by the end of the season.
The biggest issue for the couple back then was the lack of their own space, as they had to live with Emily’s parents, on account of Kobe not being able to work. Although Emily did have a job as nanny, it was not enough to support the family of three. However, a lot has certainly changed since their season, including the birth of their second child, Scarlet, and Kobe securing a permanent job, which involves testing asphalt specifications. It looks like there is certainly more in store for them, as Emily hinted at a possible move sometime soon on her Instagram stories. The reality star gave fans a peak at the many family photos adorning her current home while mentioning that she would be taking the framed photos when they move out.
While the couple isn’t currently featured in the ongoing seasons of 90 Day Fiancéfranchise spin-offs, they have been a part of Pillow Talk. However, the pair often posts photos and videos about their lives on social media, keeping fans updated. Despite their rocky run on the show, it looks like 90 Day Fiancé season 9 stars Emily and Kobe are certainly focused on their family.
