The Legend Returns đ„° âBig Brother 28â Official CBS Schedule, Premiere Date, Time & Cast Revealed
âBig Brotherâ Fans Think Season 28 Will Feature Returning Houseguests After Spotting These Clues

Could Big Brother be gearing up for another All-Star season? Fans seem to think so. Ever since the Season 28 premiere date was announced, many fans have spotted clues that the houseguests this season might not be new faces.
Season 28 of Big Brother will premiere on Thursday, July 9, and has been teased as the âbiggest season yet.â Now, that could just be due to some of the episodes being 90 minutes instead of 60 minutes, while throwing in the 1,000th episode celebration, but fans are looking past that.
Typically, the cast isnât announced until a week or even days before the premiere. But, fans pointed out some clues that lead them to believe Season 28 will have returning houseguests.
Just last season, Season 13 winner and Season 12 houseguest Rachel Reilly was the only veteran player in a mix of newbies. Season 22 was the second full All-Star season after Season 7, but in between that, Big Brother has thrown in either one of a handful of old players on numerous seasons. Sometimes, it is all new houseguests, but that wasnât teased this season.
One fan, @1998BBFan, on X shared the press releases from Seasons 22 to 28. âBB28 is the first season since BB22 to not state âall-newâ houseguests in its press release #BB28,â they wrote.
The Season 28 release just says, âThis season ushers in a landmark summer as Houseguests enter the iconic Big Brother house, with unexpected moments, and a season packed with twists and turns.â Whereas, Season 22 specifically said âAll-Starâ and the others said âall-new group.â
The teaser trailer for the new season also featured Houseguests from the past few seasons, when it typically just shows the previous seasonâs Houseguests, leading fans to believe that the returning Houseguests will be from Seasons 23 to 27. The trailer also did not mention an âall-new group of Houseguests,â like it has in the past.
The third and final clue so far is host Julie Chen Moonvesâ latest Instagram post. âWhoâs ready? MARK YOUR CALENDARS !! What are your favorite things from past seasons that youâd love to see in #BB28,â she wrote.
âMy big concern with returning players is always pre-game alliances. Even more so if there are vets who will benefit over new players,â a Reddit user said.

âI want a half returnee half newbie season like BBCAN5,â another wrote.
âIâd prefer an all newbie season because itâs more fun, more unpredictable, more chaotic because no one knows what theyâre doing. Returning players have built in alliances, higher chances of pre-gaming, less likely to turn on each other, less fun to watch. Sometimes I feel like Iâm the only one that doesnât want another All-Stars,â another said.
âNo. I want all newbies as well. Every time we get mixed casts with vets, the vets have a lot of safeguards such as teams, weeks of safety, producers Box, repeated challenges, friendship bracelets, etc. Yes, even Rachel last year enjoyed safeguards despite the white locust. And this is one of the reasons newcomers are so afraid to go after the vets,â a fourth added.
