And not long after losing her beloved trainer, the TLC star took to Instagram to share more heartbreaking news. Someone very precious to Whitney just passed away in her arms.

Whitney Way Thore Said Goodbye To Her Beloved Pet

On social media, Whitney Way Thore revealed she had been vacationing in the UK. She shared several exciting photos of the trip, describing the sights and wonderful people she met on the journey.

But when Whitney arrived home, the unimaginable happened.

Her cat Henchi passed away just after she returned home. Fans knew he was getting old and had battled health issues in the past, but no one is ever truly prepared for the loss of a much-loved pet.

“RIP sweet Henchimayne. 10.01.2007—01.21.2025,” Whitney shared on Instagram, penning a heartfelt tribute to her beloved pet. “I came home today after three weeks away and spent just a few hours with my sweetest boy when he suddenly became ill. He died in my arms an hour ago.”

“He was the most faithful companion to me for the last 17 years and every day I was so overcome with love and affection for him as if it were the first day I ever knew him,” the TLC star continued. “From the day I got him from a little pet shop in Korea he has brought me nothing but so much joy. I love you, Henchi.”

Whitney attached several photos of Henchi throughout the years, including baby pictures.
