Beloved crime series High Potential has made its eagerly awaited comeback for a second series, though viewers will now face a lengthy wait before fresh episodes arrive.

The show returned this year and remains accessible on Disney+, albeit now presented under the Hulu brand. Consequently, the streaming platform has implemented a significant alteration to its UK release pattern.

Previously, British audiences had to endure months of delays compared to their American counterparts before accessing the newest episodes. This time around, however, episodes became available just 24 hours later.

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia actress Kaitlin Olson reprises her role as single mum Morgan, the programme’s central character.

Morgan not only manages her chaotic domestic situation but also possesses an extraordinary intellect. Her unconventional talent for cracking cases results in an unlikely yet formidable alliance with a methodical veteran detective, reports the Mirror. She now works full-time alongside the LAPD, assisting with their most challenging investigations.

Joining Olson, returning cast members for the second series include Daniel Sunjata as Karadec, Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot, Steve Howey as Nick Wagner and Judy Reyes as Selena Soto.

Seven episodes have aired thus far. All are currently available for streaming, with their storylines detailed below:.

Episode 1 – Pawns

While working relentlessly to protect her family from the Game Maker’s threats, Morgan is drawn back into his game by another crime, and the LAPD must decide whether to trust her instincts before the next move turns deadly.

Episode 2 – Checkmate.

The Major Crimes team seeks answers amidst a string of unresolved crimes, with Morgan suspecting the Game Maker’s involvement. Meanwhile, Daphne and Oz embark on a mission to find Roman, while Elliot plans a surprise act for his school’s talent show.

Episode 3 – Eleven Minutes.

When a man with a troubled past is mysteriously killed, Morgan and the LAPD uncover a tragic motive behind his death. Morgan confides in Ava about her father, forcing Ava to face truths she isn’t prepared for.

Episode 4 – Behind the Music.

An elderly woman hallucinates a murder and contacts the police, but when questioned by Morgan and Karadec, she denies it. Later that day, the same woman is found dead after being pushed down the stairs.

Morgan and Karadec realise the woman’s hallucination was an actual memory of an unsolved crime she had witnessed.

Episode 5 – Content Warning.

A reporter and her car are discovered at the bottom of a lake. The team learns that she went undercover as a streamer at a content house, and they try to figure out why.

Episode 6 – Chasing Ghosts.

A man going through a divorce dies in a house believed to be haunted. Morgan and Karadec discover that his ex-wife wanted the house and had hired someone to haunt him.

Episode 7 – The One That Got Away.

In this episode, Morgan and Karadec are compelled to investigate the theft of a high-value painting, working alongside an “art recovery expert”, Rhys Eastman, who is employed by the owner’s insurance company.

How many episodes are in High Potential season 2?

The series is currently on a mid-season break, a common practice for American network television shows, which might seem unusual to British viewers accustomed to uninterrupted seasons.

New episodes are set to resume their weekly release every Wednesday in the new year. Although Disney has not yet confirmed the exact dates, according to IMDB, the next episode will air in the US on January 6.

This would mean that the restart date in the UK should be January 7. Below are the anticipated dates and release windows for the remainder of High Potential season 2.

Reports suggest that the second season of High Potential will comprise a total of 18 episodes, marking an increase from the previous season. This implies that the second half of the season could run from January until March 2026.
