TLC’s Unexpected is certainly no stranger to controversy, but a newly released sneak peek of tomorrow’s episode has pushed viewers to a breaking point.

A preview clip circulating on social media shows teen mom Bella Vaughn casually revealing to her mother that she and her boyfriend Hunter Johnson waited just four days after giving birth to their son to have sex—and that the only birth control they’re using is condoms.

The conversation takes place with Bella’s mother, Falen Vaughn, sitting right there, and the casualness of the entire exchange is what appears to have sent viewers over the edge.

“Did it hurt?” Falen asks in the clip, to which Bella, 15, responds, “frick yeah.” Falen retorted by telling her daughter she’s supposed to wait, with a producer asking if she’s using protection. Bella explains that they are using condoms only, with Falen saying that the two don’t like to. Later in the video, Johnson, 13, chimes in, explaining that they are using protection, but he’s still scared and doesn’t want to get Bella pregnant again.

The clip has since gone viral, with fans flooding social media demanding TLC pull the show entirely.

“4 days? Sadly? Literally cancel the show,” one commented, while another agreed, “I would ball my eyes out to hear this from my daughter.”

“This is super disturbing,” said a third.

A fourth begged, “TLC PLEASE go ahead an cancel Unexpected after this season because Bella & Hunter’s episodes made me puke in my mouth.”

What makes the backlash hit even harder is that this isn’t the first time Bella, Hunter, and her parents have landed in hot water this season. Just last week, an episode sparked its own wave of outrage after a scene revealed that Bella’s parents had allowed Hunter to shower with Bella just days after she gave birth. The moment prompted Bella’s mother Falen to defend herself on TikTok, doubling down on her decision and telling critics that since Bella had already had sex and a baby, she saw no issue with Hunter helping her in the shower postpartum.

Falen’s response only added fuel to the fire. “We’re going to do a little debriefing about the episode that aired on Monday, since we have been getting a lot of hate for that, so let’s just see if we can make them even madder!” she told followers. Bella, meanwhile, teased her own response video, acknowledging that viewers “are gonna hate that, but it’s gonna make us a lot of money, so I’m excited about that!”Unexpected premiered on TLC in 2017 and follows the journeys of pregnant teenagers and their families as they navigate parenthood.
